Texas, disasters and FEMA in the news

For the foreseeable future, every disaster event will include a mention of issues with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). See this New York Times article, In Flooded Texas, Questions About FEMA’s Role and Fate

The Trump administration has brought this on itself. First there was the criticism of the FEMA response in North Carolina earlier in the year (before taking office in January) and more recently questioning the viability of FEMA to do its job. Suggesting that the agency will be eliminated come the end of November.

Will FEMA be eliminated? How well are they responding? Are they responding fast enough and with sufficient resources. Every disaster moving forward for the rest of 2025 will have those questions.  These are self-inflicted questions!
