duh! Explain this one to me!

There have been some pretty dumb moves by the Trump administration, but this one ranks right up there with some of the worst, Feds Cutting Satellite Data Used to Forecast Hurricanes

Since there is no explanation given, we are left with ideas like:

-They don’t care about hurricanes

-They don’t want people to use the system and not pay for it

-They are anti-science (which is already a perception that seems to be real)

-They think this system and uses lead to more research on climate change which they deny

-They are just plain dumb
