By the time you read this (written on the night of 9/15) it will be too late for you to respond, but I thought it worthy to see what Derrick Hiebert wrote on LinkedIn. See below—all are worth ideas:

My top items (included in more detail in the document)
1. Eliminate interest on the NFIP debt and/or eliminate the debt.
2. Modernize the floodplain management minimum standards.
3. Enforce minimum floodplain management standards.
4. Get the CAP-SSSE program (community assistance program – state support services element) into statute and expand it to continue to grow state and local capacity.
5. The NFIP must be exempted from the Endangered Species Act.
6. Modernize the Community Rating System.
7. Expand mitigation, speed it up, give it teeth.
8. Strengthen post-disaster enforcement.
