John Scardena

John Scardena is a subject matter expert in emergency and disaster management. As a former Federal Emergency Response Official, John has been a driving force in every aspect of the Disaster Lifecycle. He has been integral in the development of emergency management teams, technologies, and processes in all levels of local, state, and federal governments. John developed and led FEMA’s first tactical level drone team in disaster. He is credited with the successful mitigation of numerous man-made threats and natural caused potential crises.

John hosts the Disaster Tough Podcast and co-hosts Movie AAR. He is the Founder of The Readiness Lab and the Chief Executive Officer at Doberman Emergency Management Group.

George Siegal

George Siegal is an award-winning filmmaker dedicated to making the world a better place. His film The Last House Standing, is a documentary about how every year millions of people suffer the wrath of Mother Nature, as infrastructure is demolished, houses are flooded and swept away, and lives are lost. This film has earned international attention and encourages others to improve their own readiness. 

George has taken his improvement approach to podcasting, with the Tell Us How to Make it Better Podcast, where he interviews real people working on real problems with actual solutions. The podcast airs weekly on audio and video.

Patrick McGinn

Patrick McGinn is an expert emergency management responder, working in all levels of public sector emergency management, including the National Strike Team with FEMA. Patrick is the Director of Emergency Management for one of largest global humanitarian organizations.

THE Preparedness Guy, Nat Sellers, has joined forces with The Readiness Lab to provide insight on preparedness for individuals and families. As a subject matter expert in emergency management with first responder, military, and boy scout backgrounds - Nat has a wealth of knowledge to share with Preppers. He is our professional connection to Doomsday Preppers- helping them learn from professionals how to take care of their needs, not just zombie attacks.

Ashley Lauria-Golden

Ashley Lauria-Golden articulates the vision and objectives of Doberman Emergency Managment by utilizing her background in tactical response as a lead paramedic and as a strategic planner in both County and State Government emergency management agencies. Throughout Ashley’s distinguished career, she has led trainings, mitigation projects, plan overviews, responses, and recovery missions. Collaborating with key stakeholders throughout the Disaster Lifecycle is a passion and mission of Ashley.

Ashely is the host of the upcoming show, The EM Morning Brief.

zack borst

Zack Borst is the host of EM Weekly, he is a subject matter expert in emergency management with a passion for technology. In addition to his numerous experience in EM, including as the emergency manager for the University of Vermont for seven years, Zack was a first-responder, firefighter, and currently serves in the military. As the host of EM Weekly, he talks shop as an experienced practitioner. He has the additional feather in his cap as a stand-up comedian.

Zack is the Director of Strategy at Doberman Emergency Management.
