HLS Grants Available and Due!

This has to be the shortest turnaround ever, between when grant applications were announced and then when they were due for submission. See this article from August 1st, FEMA Announces Billions in Federal Funds to Empower States to Prepare for Disasters 

Then I checked, and the grant applications from states are due August 11th!

If states and individual jurisdictions were being proactive, they will have dusted off their 2024 applications earlier this spring  (eliminated any language on diversity, immigrants, equity, and climate change and, support for Palestine) and put them together—anticipating the scramble at the end—as we see playing out now.

Remember, you can only get two of the three: Good, Fast or Cheap. As far as I can see the first of the three is “fast.”
