it department firings at fema hq

There was this announcement on the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) website, Secretary Noem Terminates Inept FEMA Employees After Uncovering Massive Cyber Failures, Demands Accountability

This does not smell right by my reconning. First, let’s just say that the statements made are true. It would be appropriate to fire the chief and the deputy who are in charge of cybersecurity for the department. What sense does it make to fire the other 22 staff who act at the direction of their supervisors?

I can’t say that these are trumped up charges, but the manner in which the administration has acted over the previous eight months and the misinformation and outright lies that they tell call into question any statements that they might make.

Perhaps more information will be coming out via other sources. Figuring out the truth has become much harder of late.
