it is confusing at best

There was a recent article in Climate Wire with the headline, “FEMA says in court filing it “has not ended disaster grant program.”  The program they are talking about is the Building Resilient Infrastructure Communities (BRIC) that was announced as being cancelled back in April by the then acting FEMA Administrator.

My father as a railroad engineer for the Illinois Central Railroad would have commented, “This is no way to run a railroad.” To wit, the current federal administration is causing confusion and disbelief at every turn.

The recent announcement of FFY2025 Federal Grants with less than a two-week turnaround time for submission would be one more exhibit to present for the accusation of incompetence.

Note, there is talk about taking the Homeland Security Grants and giving them to Department of Justice to Administer. The Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) would be a good example of such a grant. I say give them to WWE, and let them have a shot at it.
